My RTR/ARTR Plastic Power Boats

このボートについて
I bought the Club 500 first, ready assembled, off a fellow club member so that I could get used to operating an RC power boat. This was ideal as it wasn't too fast (but fast enough) and didn't matter if I hit the bank. I then used it for club racing before that died out due to Covid. It did suffer damage when I caught the steel launching device which sticks out into the lake. This resulted in a bent rudder and the plastic housing/mounting for the servo, ESC and switch and so I made another out of ply which is secured in place with Velcro.
The second boat bought was the Lite Warrior which was also used for racing. I did quite well with it because it's not manically fast and easier to handle which on our small lake is a benefit.
Third boat is Scott Free race boat. I've only ever run this boat once as it's not really suitable for our small lake. It takes a while for it to get going by which time you have to back off for a turn and it drops off the plane again. More suitable for a large lake with sweeping turns.
And lastly the FTX Glader which has a water-jet. I went down to the club one day and a couple of the guys had these and were having fun and I was offered a go, big mistake! For about £50 and substantially made they are great fun and often unofficial racing breaks out as a number of members have them now. They sometimes end up on the bank but take the rough and tumble in their stride. Part of the reason for getting one is that I will be scratch building a model using a water-jet.

Bob,
"Hello, My name is Dave, and I've got a problem ......"
Oh, wait, that's a different group, LOL
Not that I've been there much lately, but when I do go I sometimes just take one of the yachts and a couple of the power boats for just messing about or impromptu racing.
I used to be a bit nervous of sailing some of my scratch built models, especially when one guy had a fast raceboat on the water which he just couldn't control, it was mainly in the weeds or on the bank! You've never seen the water clear of models so quickly!
Not a problem though now as time on the club morning is broken up into sail, scale and fast electric. You do sometimes get a mix of the first two on the water if it's not busy but no-one really minds.
It turns out the number is higher than I expected.
This darn hobby is addictive ....
So, from memory (what's left of it). My RTR/ARTR collection includes:
Aquacraft Atlantic Tug # B5726
Aquacraft Cajun Commander Airboat #B5722
Aquacraft Bristol Bay # B5720
Aquacraft Rescue 17 fireboat #B5701
Kyosho Wave Chopper Jetski #40211
Kyosho Streamline #40615
Kyosho Surfer #KT231P
Kyosho Harbor Star #40716
Proboat Riverine #08035
Proboat River Patrol
Traxxas Nitro Vee #3510
Most of these can be viewed in my Harbour .....
I'm not sure if I'm proud or ashamed, LOL.
But I like all of them.
Some are fun to just grab off the shelf and run, and some are shelf queens filling out my collection.

It’s nice to see that I am not the only one that has a small fleet of plastic RTR boats to enjoy as a change from the serious stuff now and again!
Bob.
That’s great for me, knowing I can count on an expert in the field.
In fact, I’m already taking advantage of your expertise, hahaha.
