Hi Jarvo what's your interest in the police boats?
They are currently in use on the Thames but with a much more modern craft.
I assume you've seen the blogs on the 1950s Police boat by Vintage Model Works
http://www.vintagemodelworks.co.uk/ I'm currently working on mine nearing completion. Its been a great kit to build check out the link if you've not already seen it. Rob also completed one last year

The boats look like ex Raf, tenders, or ex RN motor launches

Not sure Mark, but I think so, but with more modern boats now from what I can find.

Very interesting, you would have thought they would at least where lifejackets???? do the police still patrol?? or have the RNLI taken over???
