Very nice model, great video!

That's good news.

As Corporal Jones would say "Dont Panic" I have just received a letter from the Uk Gov saying my pension will not be affected. I live in Portugal. Also passport just renewed and that will be ok too.

Regarding dual citizenship Doug, my brother -in -law who was from a little village near BERLIN, had dual citizenship.
I used to take him every year to some building in Piccadilly Manchester, to keep up his British citizenship. Strange thing was, he got a pension from the German government, for his years in the SS, he also then got a pension from the British, for his years working in the aircraft factory in Chester,(think it was BA) probably wrong!
the point is, he got a larger pension from Germany, than he got from Britain!!! wierd eh....

Peter🤓

One small step of man ,one giant leap for Rooky.
Congratulations Rooky.

Aha! Was a Genesis album 1973.
Reissued on vinyl 2018, gonna order it now 😊
Below the Salt was Steeleye Span, 1972, also good, Folk-Rock👍

"check your documents if travelling abroad"
But check them for what?
Will UK passports marked 'European Union' become invalid overnight?
Will the 'Rathaus' (you're so right there👍) pay for the hundreds of thousands of replacements?
My sister has already asked me if I have applied for German citizenship and my GF is wondering if dual citizenship is possible!
Oh well! To quote Douglas Adams "DON'T PANIC!" or maybe "Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish!" 😉 Tschüss, und Gute Nacht, Doug 😎
PS Seem to remember a song called "Selling England By The Pound" from ca 40 years ago.
On an album called "Below the Salt" I believe, can't remember the group name though 🤔

I hope everything works out right for you Doug, we
are a little late in life, to have these kind of problems,
but here in the UK, all the motorways have signs saying check your documents if travelling abroad, as from the 31st October. The idiots in the rathaus, (perfect word in English!) are selling the UK down the river, the pound is devaluing daily, where will it end?

cheers, Peter

Hi Peter,
Pension should be the least problem as they are sent worldwide, i.e not just EU.
Also for me it is only about a quarter of my total UK + company + German pensions anyway.
Comes from having worked here for 35 years. Others who emigrated on retirement might have a different situation🤔 Mouldbuilder will be finding that out when he moves to Hungary!!
Cheers, Doug 😎

The big problem as I see Doug, is will you still get your pension from the UK?, I have friends in Spain, and that idea is worrying them.☹️

cheers, Peter

Shame about that Peter ☹️
I'll see what I can do about improving my "fiddling" cos the original vid quality is far better.
Cheers, Doug 😎
PS I don't like the idea of Brexit either😠 It's going to cause guys like me a lot of problems and time wasting visiting various German authorities. Apparently I will have to be 'Retitled' as they put it if UK crashes out! Plus new Passport and driving license needed. Both state European Union! 🤔 Don't suppose Boris will reimburse us for those ☹️

Thank you for the congrats Doug, still no worki! just comes up with a black screen and the words-

looks like they don't like the idea of Brexit😆

cheers, Peter

Congratulations Sub! 👍😊
Pleased to see that "my Officer Corps" is growing apace 😊 Well done chaps (and Chapess😉)
Apropos video: Didn't this link work either?

Set to 1080p and full screen, turn up the sound!!
Cheers, Doug 😎

This utube won't let me play, something to do with no copyright.......stupid😋

Well done Doug, plays fine with the media file, a lovely piece of video work, great bottleneck guitar track, and yes, very eerie lake, all in all 1st class👍

Peter

btw am now a sub Lieutenant!

Video test!! 😎
Works, but as you can see from the coded ID top left I fiddled it!!😉

Brilliant!👍
Shame Rooky , works fine in Germany!
Superb mystical setting, foggy lake, smoke effects, steam whistle and ship's bell, plus great soulful slide guitar music to go with it. Excellent.
Ship seems to have a list to starboard though, zero freeboard!!😮
Cheers, Doug 😎
Try this

Set to 1080p and full screen, turn up the sound!!

Looks a nice riverboat Cash, only problem, cannot play the video due to it being blocked in the UK on
copyright grounds.🙃

cheers, Peter

Nice riverboat! I saw this on YouTube a bit ago, thought y’all might like it.

I suppose with the shallow draft it would be like a large floating box catching the wind from any direction ,lovely model smoke looks really realistic.👍

I believe he has put a weighted keel on Martin, but the wind was really bad on Wednesday, perhaps not the best day to sail such a boat.😐

cheers, Peter

Really nice model. Very delicate detailing.😊

Nice,
You would have to choose a really calm day to go sailing.
If that was mine I would have to make some sort of weighted clip on keel.

Martin555.

Looks very attractive on the water, but you can see how much she is being affected by the wind. Nice boat.
