RAF Rescue Launch In Motion Picture!
Many thanks for the video of the Crash tender in action and the web site from the colonial , my girl (94) has the third motor , some 28 or more years young about 25 lbs I think and at 46 inches is very good at a rough sea / pond ( due to weight and still planes at 50 -60 % power only) as here we do not have the luxury of fresh still waters, we use the creeks and tidal salt sea rivers, all built as per kit and very quiet I/c , as I cannot figure out how your model videos allow any loud model I/c high pitch engine noise as I thought you were pestered by the noise complainers in the UK? I use the muffler exhausting along a pipe to a tin can expansion chamber screw top 6 ounce can(internally coated with bitumen mastic, to stop rust from the acidic/alkaline combustion fumes)and then piped along again to come out the stern, as a non scale half inch dia brass tube is used. Super quiet as an electric and traps exhaust oil as well , which is decanted occasionally, all the best for the web site and those attending the Fireboat rally , wish I was there so much. All the best and thank you for your efforts by ALL . Lyle.
