Thanks for the help.
I bought eight from Amazon Prime with voltage readout for £11.95 for four. Very reasonable.
Peter.👍

Hi Peter,
Everyone is giving you the same advice that I was going to give, However look at the component shops website
https://www.componentshop.co.uk/voltage-reducer-with-led-display-input-3-5v-30v-output-1-2v-30v.html
Out put up to 3A. They also do voltage boosters. I have often bought stuff from them, I have found them reliable and very helpful. Just a thought.
best wishes Tim

Hi Peter, the specs say you can go up to 3A where you might need a fan, but you can put any number of LEDs on one or a mixture of things on the same final voltage (say all running on 3v but within the total max amp rating) or just add another if necessary or to be safe. They are dirt cheap. I've bought half a dozen each time and am using 8 at the moment in different boats, and have had no rouble with them so far.
You can buy the fancier ones with the readouts as Bill and Roy have mentioned, which show the output voltage, or some as Roy has mentioned which can show the input voltage as well with the push of a button. Just depends how fancy you want to get or how much you want to spend. Most of them are pretty good. As Bill said, a huge range to chose from.

Hi thats the limit for the o/p but my one was only 3 or 4 pounds so not a problem.

Just a small follow up question.
Is the 2A limit per circuit so if I use one for each of Five items, the maximum draw is 2A each unit.
Thanks.
Peter.

Thanks Bill, Roy and JB.
I really appreciate the help.
I thought it might not be as simple as a regulator alone.
I will purchase some of these without delay.
Thanks again.
Peter.👍😀

Morning Peter.
I just use very similar to JB and Roy.
Very cheap voltage regulator costing just a few pounds and readily available on EBay or in my case from Amazon.
The one shown in my picture is easily adjustable for voltage value using a small screwdriver.
There are many varieties to suit voltage.
Hope that helps.
Bill.

Never give up.It will come right in the end.

Hi I use a DC to DC converter bought from Component Shop handles about 2 amps and the o/p voltage is set using a small screwdriver. You can set the LED voltage indicator to monitor i/p and o/p.
Has worked well for me for a while now.

Roy

Hi Peter, I just use these cheap voltage regulators from Ali Expr for my different pumps, lights etc and they work well. They are so cheap you can afford to use 1 per device. Pic is of the 2 VRs in my runabout (on the right) one for the smoker air pump and one for the e-cig smoke device. The unit on the left is a timer for the smoke air pump. They are quite small, and you can just velcro them somewhere or screw them to a board and gang them up. These 2 in the runabout are running on a 2s Lipo, but 3s is no problem.
As long as the amp draw is less than 2A (most small water pumps are fine, lights are no problem they don't even get warm. I use them for regulating LEDs too, so you can adjust the brightness to suit the application. Super handy little items. If you buy some, adjust them down on a small motor first or with a meter, then work up, as they can be set quite high. Great for adjusting water stream overboard from a pump as well, to get a scale look.

Good morning all.
I am in the process of designing the circuits to run the 16 channels of Düsseldorf. I would like to use one 3s LiPo for the motors and another for the small motors, lights and monitor pump. The problem is that the pump is 12volts and the lights and small motors are 6 volts. I would like to run the pump direct on the 11.1 volts but regulate through a circuit down to 6 volts for the rest of the items allowing me to run the whole ship on two quite large capacity batteries. Is this a simple matter of just adding a 6volt regulator or is there more of a circuit required.
Thanks,
Peter.😊
